A little of your time could make a big difference to someone’s life.
We have volunteering opportunities available in most of our services. Our volunteers help and support people with learning disabilities in many different ways, contributing their skills, experiences, energy and enthusiasm. We carefully match their individual strengths and interests to the needs of the people we help.
In 2018, we supported 670 children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and their families and carers across Cambridgeshire. Volunteers are critical to the success of our charity with over 135 regular volunteers helping to deliver services, but we always need more!
We support you with:
- Induction and ongoing training
- The chance to learn new, transferable skills
- Full reimbursement of any travel or out of pocket expenses
- A network of new contacts and potential friends
- Social events
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all the children, young people and adults we support and expect our volunteers to share this commitment. All volunteers are DBS checked and must provide two references.
